We are excited that we have Matt Summerfield (Urban Saints), John and Joanne O’Connor, (Junction 42), Rich Atkinson (Rebuild) and Lynn Alexander (Children Families and God) joining us to help us think through how we both disciple different generations of people, as well as how we disciple all-generations of people together as one church.

This event is open to anyone and we have space for plenty of people so come along with your colleagues, teams and friends!  Tickets are now available at www.buytickets.at/kx and we hope to see you there.

  2. Kx Leaders Day Report

16143178_1854805124741178_5899163003245189049_nWe gathered for a KX leaders day at the Bluecoat venue in Liverpool this week.

Right from the start it was obvious that this is an extended family with a big vision. The tone was relaxed and informal yet intense in its clear goals and prophetic vision, an amazing combination of urgency and refreshing companionship. From the corporate worship time to the end where we stood and cried out to God in intercession and prayer of our family of churches there was a real feeling of movement and seeking God for every step of His direction for us to impact this nation. We were small in number but large in our influence I felt.

Nic’s prophetic guidance on spiritual warfare was very timely and there was an apostolic weight to the call, I pray we heed it, pursue it and become intentional in all we do to model praying with passion and faith for a new generation and for taking new territory. I also feel the timing of what Ruth Perrin spoke on about the millennials and the opportunities with that generation was really where God wants us to be more intentional. The call from both Ruth and also Josh Cutting from FORM I felt was very much a call from God’s heart for this time. It simply must be on our prayer agenda, our time agenda, it must be built into our discipleship culture and our lives to coach, raise up and walk with that generation. Jesus himself chose most of his disciples from just that age range and it was clearly effective!

I came away with a greater sense of family, a clearer prophetic vision and the feeling that as a family of churches on a mission we are living in an amazing time with amazing opportunities. The day lifted my gaze, clarified my priorities and bonded me with a great group of friends all living our lives in the same direction – it doesn’t get much better than that for a Andy Strajnicleader.

  3. Rediscover Conference – from Rebuild

As a movement we long to see the next generations released as leaders and disciples of Jesus.  That’s why we love working with our friends at Rebuild and are excited about their Rediscover Conference

Rediscover – 18th and 19th November 2016 hosted at St Thomas Church Philadelphia

Rebuild Say:  “We are passionate about seeing young adults fall in love with Jesus and see them running after him passionately and radically in every area of life. We would love to see young adults across Europe stepping out into their identity as chosen sons & daughters of Daddy God. Sons & daughters who change the world.

During the weekend we will have extended times of worship led by Anchor Music and inspirational teaching from Rachel Gardner (Romance Academy) and Anthony Delaney (Ivy Church, Manchester).

Whilst also having space to encounter Gods passionate love, we want to equip and release young adults into the area they are called to bring the Kingdom of Heaven. There will be workshops & seminars based around the 7 Spheres of Influence [family/church/government/business/education/media & arts/health] held by professionals in each industry spending time sharing their experience and their lives with you. There will be opportunities to dream and plan about how we can partner with God to release His Kingdom into these spheres.”

Do encourage any young adults in your church to come along.  More information and booking details here.

  4. Kx Leaders Day – Raising Younger Leaders

We are inviting you join us for a day of connecting and unpacking the topic of “Raising Younger Leaders”.

leaders-day-2017-updated-graphicWe will be joined by Ruth Perrin. Ruth has been involved in ministry and training with young adults for 20 years. She is associate staff at King’s Church Durham and regularly preaches and teaches in local and national settings. She has recently published her PhD ‘The Bible Reading of Young Evangelicals’  and is currently a research fellow at Durham University exploring how Christian faith changes as Millennials journey through their twenties. Her publications include: ‘Inspiring Women, Discovering Biblical Role Models’  and ‘Searching for Sisters’ (In The Faith Lives of Women and Girls). She writes www.cloudofwitnesses.org.uk (free bible study resources) and is about to launch www.discipleshipresearch.com to make research findings easily accessible to busy church leaders. Her passions are to encourage biblical literacy and equip churches to best serve and disciple today’s young adults. She loves dinner parties, travel and gardening. Her guilty pleasure is Netflix box sets!

The day will be hosted by Nic Harding and the KX team and the day will also include times of worship, input, prayer ministry, refreshments and lunch. It will be a chance to connect with your Kx family and meet some new faces too and we may even have a trick or two up our sleeve.

Places are free for Kx Family Church Leaders and cost £55 for non-Kx members. To book please follow the link below.
