‘Moving from gospel confidence to missional confidence’.
This year the Kx Leaders Day North will take place in Harrogate. One of the greatest hindrances to the progress of the gospel, bringing transformation to our towns and cities, is a lack of confidence in the good news. We need confidence in both the gospel story, and telling it in our post-christian culture. Specifically, we will be looking at why and how our message is good news for those struggling with sexuality and gender issues; And then how we tell that better story with boldness in our local contexts.
This leaders day assumes that those who are coming already hold an orthodox view on issues of sexuality and gender. You are welcome to come with your senior leadership team and a couple of your younger leaders too.
Speakers
Anne Witton from Living Out
Rich Harris from LivLife (a Liverpool organisation helping people with SSA issues)
Keld Dahlman Pastor of an international church in Aarhus in Denmark, leader of the kpn church planting network, who will be focussing on issues of shame and how they are shaping our culture
Dr Rick Thomas from the Salt and Light family of churches. Rick works part time for the Christian Medical Fellowship (CMF) in a Public Policy Research role and will be addressing gender issues
